We generally aim to finish a website within 6-8 weeks, but that depends on the size and complexity of your website project, as well as the amount of content you will be providing. Typically our clients set the pace. The more involved they are with the process, content, and revisions, the more quickly the website will be launched.

That’s determined by your products/services and objectives.  At a high level, most websites have separate pages for Home, About, and Contact, and separate pages for each of your key products or services.  For example, an Auto Body Shop would have a separate page for Auto Body Work and Auto Glass Replacement, but maybe their other services are “secondary” so they do not need separate pages for them, such as brake or tire repair.  In general, if you want your services to rank well with search engines, they should have their own page.  We can assist with this.

There are two ways to answer that.  Our process will aim to solve your business problems.  You might need more customers; want to save time by answering fewer phone calls or more efficiently handling form submissions; or improving your company’s reputation.  You can then place a value on those things and determine if your website investment is worth it.

The other way is by calculating website Return on Investment.  Let’s say you pay $8000 for a new website.  Now think of how new sales you need to recoup the $8000.  For example, if your net profit on sales is 10%, that means you need to generate $80000 in new sales to pay for the website.  We recommend that you view the “payback period” the 12-24 month period after the site goes live.  But keep in mind an important fact: A new website must be effective to yield results.  If you open a beautiful new retail store but it’s on a side street and many people don’t ever see it, the effectiveness is decreased.  Still the concept is the same–you would calculate any of your investment over a period of time and compare that to results of the website.  If you’re interested in learning more about this, we love crunching numbers–just ask!

Yes, we install WordPress as the content management system and you can use this to update your website.  If you need training on using WordPress, we can recommend some free self-tutorials.  We also offer tutorials as an optional service at $90/hour, and we can typically show you how to use the site in 1-2 hours.

Yes, if you have a place to host the website, we will transfer it from there or provide you with the files as part of our website design service fee.  For those who know little about “website hosting,” this refers to your website needing to be set up on a server (computer) so visitors can get to it.  There are hundreds of hosting companies out there, and making a decision exclusively on price can be a big mistake, especially if you encounter the need for support.  If you look into third party hosting companies, you will find a wide variation in cost and services.  We’re happy to educate you on this if needed. We also offer hosting and support services, but you’re not obliged to use them.
