Description
This QuickStart workshop helps new eRoom users get
started with eRoom 7.3 by covering the primary
features of eRoom. The format is "live demo", where
the instructor reviews the key topics of eRoom, but students do not have
hands-on practice. Users who are "technology-adept" sometimes prefer
this type of session because it takes less time than the hands-on Beginner
session, and they are able to learn by observation and explanation. Topics include:
Creating content in an eRoom, including folders, lists, discussions,
calendars, notes, polls, links
-
Using databases: adding database records, creating new
databases from facility templates
-
Understanding and using dashboards and project plans
Adding and editing files and documents such as Word and Excel
Access control: understanding, setting, and changing the security settings on items
Notification settings: understanding and changing settings for e-mail activity reports
How to navigate through eRoom using unread items and the eRoom Monitor
E-mail and Inboxes
Intercom & Chat
Customizing the workspace
Document version tracking
Searching an eRoom
-
Using online help
The content of this session is
basically the
same as the Beginner session, but at a much-accelerated pace.
