Description:

The eRoom database is arguably eRoom's most powerful tool, with its ability to organize and manage large amounts of data, and then share it within or across eRooms.  This session takes an in-depth look at eRoom databases, dashboards and other key tools, including how to create them from scratch and then how to modify them.  We will create one or more databases during the session, and users are welcome to bring in real examples for the exercise.  Topics covered include:

  • Setting up a database from scratch

  • Review of all settings in the database wizard, including fields, ordering, options, and formatting

  • When to use and how to set up enterprise databases and database overviews

  • Importing/exporting data in project plans and databases

  • Creating a workflow/approval database

  • Configuring Dashboards with Calendars, Databases, and Project Plans

  • Creating and implementing Routing Buttons and Template Items

  • Leveraging the power of internal links

  • Setting up and using Custom Fields and Custom Icons

  • Implementing best practices in the setup of an eRoom
